Content: Terence Knight, a queer Black 22-year-old, was assaulted by unknown attackers while leaving this year's Pride parade in Chicago. Instead of finding and arresting Terence's attackers, Chicago police arrested Terence and charged him with battery and bodily harm for defending himself. Police held Terence overnight at the police station on 18th and State Streets. They refused him medical care, even though he repeatedly requested medical attention. Queer, and particularly queer Black people, are criminalized for defending themselves! We demand an investigation into the police involved in Terence's wrongful arrest and for all charges to be dropped! Press conference: Court hearing: Join over Zoom:
