We’re excited to welcome stick fighting instructor Cuán McCann from @bmorebata in style with All Ireland Champions @jimmykeane on the accordion and @clarseach on the harp. Also joining us will be @breakingthefirewall for a teach-in about ongoing resistance to a U.S-backed mining project in the Sperrin Mountains of Co. Tyrone and how this relates to the ongoing genocide in Palestine, US imperialism, and global solidarity. Rounding out the night we will have @brighidthebard and co. singing some old ballads with a new queer twist. Join us for an unforgettable night of Irish traditional music, martial arts, and more!

Accessibility info: there are two carpeted stairs from the street to the entrance of the venue. Entrance is a single standard sized door. Venue is an art gallery that is a single floor (hardwood), no stairs or drops of any kind. There is a narrow single occupancy bathroom in the back.

*a session is a participatory gathering of musicians practiced in many musical traditions. Within the Irish context, people take turn leading sets of tunes (2 or more tunes back to back). Those who know the tunes join in, and those who don’t either wait for the next set or quietly learn them by ear. Those who play an acoustic instrument and know a handful of Irish tunes are welcome to join. For those curious to learn more, check out the article in the CI4P linktree.
