MigraWatch is a community-led effort where neighbors look out for one another by watching and documenting interactions with immigration agents, like ICE, especially during possible raids or arrests. Volunteers receive training to become legal observers, record what’s happening, and stand alongside anyone who may be affected. It’s about showing up, staying informed, and making sure our communities feel safe and supported.

MigraWatch es una iniciativa comunitaria donde los vecinos se cuidan mutuamente observando y documentando las interacciones con agentes de inmigración, como ICE, especialmente durante posibles redadas o arrestos. Los voluntarios reciben entrenamiento para convertirse en observadores legales, registrar lo que sucede y apoyar a cualquier persona que pueda verse afectada. Se trata de estar presentes, mantenerse informados y asegurar que nuestras comunidades se sientan seguras y apoyadas.

Facilitador: Diego Morales, Presidente, Distrito 25, Organización Política Independiente (IPO)

Día/Hora: Jueves 11 de Septiembre, de 3-5:30 en el Salón 1001 Lech Walesa Hall (5500 N. St. Louis Ave, Chicago), y Viernes 12 de Septiembre, de 12-2:30 pm en El Centro (3390 N. Avondale Ave., Chicago). El mismo entrenamiento se ofrece en dos días diferentes.

Formato: En persona y tambien virtualmente por Zoom.

Se ofrecerá interpretación al Español para el entrenamiento de el Viernes 12 de Septiembre en El Centro (interpretación también disponible por Zoom).

El entrenamiento es gratuita y abierta al público.
