Chicago Area Peace Action is endorsing North Shore Says NO!, a group of local activists that will show their RESISTANCE via visibility events on I-94 overpasses. We want to make clear that ICE and uninvited National Guard troops are NOT welcome in our communities. Join us in this act of Radical Solidarity!

Visibility events will be on four I-94 overpasses - Winnetka Ave (Northfield), Glenview Road (Glenview), Church Street (Skokie), and Pratt Avenue (Chicago), during the morning and afternoon rush hour periods (7-9 AM and 3:30-5:30 PM). These events will be happening the next two Fridays - 9/19 and 9/26. We will display 8-foot banners at each overpass (north and south) with large lettering.

You are encouraged to bring your own signs, but signs with small lettering can only be seen by the cross-traffic, so keep that in mind. There is plenty of room on the overpasses, so the more people that come the better.

Even if you can only come for 30 or 60 minutes, still sign-up anyway and make a note in the comment section when signing up. Any time spent standing up in resistance is greatly appreciated and needed!

Parking Directions:

Winnetka Avenue (Northfield) - parking instructions to follow

Glenview Road (Glenview) - parking is best at Lamon - take Big Tree before the overpass on the east and make a right on Lamon. If you then walk west on Big Tree, there is a modest hill across from the former Beth Hillel to get to the overpass level.

Church Street (Skokie) - parking is best one block west on Linden. If you have mobility issues, Church Street may be best.

Pratt Avenue (Chicago) - parking instructions to follow
