Disability Justice in Practice: Responding to Palestine

Since its inception, disability justice movements have been clear about Palestinian liberation as a disability justice issue, pointing to the interconnections between disablement and ableism, racism, and settler-colonial tactics (for example, check Sins Invalid's 2014 video [in our Instagram bio]).). It’s also lifted up a politic of radical love that centers self-determination and cross-movement solidarity.

This event brings together three Chicago-area disabled activists to share how they have negotiated putting disability justice into practice through their response to the ongoing genocide: a writer and media critic, a fashion designer, and a scholar/spoken word poet. Join us!
