We are Resilience, a non-profit comprehensive rape crisis center committed to ending rape culture and empowering survivors of sexual assault through advocacy, education, and healing. April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and its the perfect time to stand in solidarity with survivors of sexual violence. 

Join us in community for our flagship event, Standing Silent Witness in Daley Plaza, on Friday, April 24th from 12-1pm. We gather and protest silently for an hour to amplify survivor's voices while wearing t-shirts and holding signs adorned with messages and stories protesting sexual violence and rape culture. To make this event accessible, we will also have chairs available so you can sit instead of stand. We will stand for the first 40 minutes of the hour, then break to gather by the stage where three survivors will speak out and share their stories. The event will end at 1pm.

We will have a "grounding station" table equipped with resources, flyers, fidget toys, tissues, and self care items for folks to take home and use in the moment. Trauma informed and specially trained staff will also be present at the table available for grounding, deep breathing, disclosures, and crisis intervention. We hope to see you there!
