Join us for a vigil as we mourn the loss of a community member and beloved father. In the name of transparency and accountability to the community, the corporate media and the State Police need to release the full footage of his execution to the public. We have no reason to believe the police officers’ account of what took place. We demand that the officers involved in his murder be identified publicly and charged to the fullest extent of the law.

On Wednesday night, Illinois State Police officers killed Jalen Carpenter in Woodlawn. His father, Stanley Carpenter, said, “They shot him multiple times in the head…He had so many bullets we couldn’t even view the body.” Jalen was a beloved father and an Amazon worker.

One has to question why Illinois State Police were there at all? The police lie time and time again, even when they kill one of their own like what was revealed today about the shooting of Krystal Rivera. We will not stop fighting for justice!
