Springfield Advocacy Day

CRS believes public safety must begin with one truth: every person has inherent dignity.

Yet across Illinois, Black communities continue to experience targeted stops and over-policing that undermine that dignity every day. These practices shape how people move, live, and feel in their own neighborhoods.

On May 13, we will bring this call for dignity directly to Springfield and advocate for policies that reflect the full humanity of every person.

Stay tuned for the Statement of Principles on Public Safety Toward Flourishing Communities, and give to help move this work forward.
