Content: Federations of Mexican clubs in Chicago and suburbs are organizations formed by Mexican migrants originating from the same towns or states in Mexico. These federations serve as a bridge between the immigrant community in Illinois and their home communities in Mexico, focusing on philanthropic, cultural, civic engagement and immigrant advocacy. At 12 noon on Wednesday, April 29th, the federations will be holding a press conference highlighting their participation in Friday's huge May Day march. Attendees at the press conference are asked to arrive no later than 11:45 am on Wednesday.
