Challenging a corporation threatening our safety and basic rights.

The CAPA Climate Group invites you to an event on a topic impacting everyone: resisting corporations whose unchecked power threaten our safety and basic rights.

Join us on May 6th for a presentation by organizers from Corporate Accountability. As their mission states, “We believe in a world where all people can thrive—no matter where we call home or how much money we have. We play a role in creating this world by stopping transnational corporations from harming and even killing people.”

In a time of rising corporate harm, this mission couldn’t be more urgent. Today, corporations are fueling, propping up, and profiting from the death, destruction, and terror. Specifically, Big Tech and AI corporations are playing an outsized role. Which leads us to the question: How do we dismantle the corporate tech apparatus at the heart of the authoritarian power-grab?

To answer that question, Corporate Accountability is entering a new phase of work that builds on its nearly 50-year history of challenging corporate impunity. The organization is preparing to launch a major campaign focused on Big Tech—specifically examining and challenging their growing entanglements with the military-industrial complex, surveillance, and detention infrastructures. Corporate Accountability is meeting with interested and trusted individuals to share plans and invite them to join this critical initiative from the ground up.

Corporate Accountability’s research team has been mapping the corporations advancing and profiting from oppressive actions and policies in the U.S. and around the world. Initial research has led to the intersection of Big Tech, surveillance, and detention as some of the deadliest elements of this agenda. From there, they have identified a corporation at the heart of this dystopian triangle – one with an outsized role in the U.S. military industrial complex. In essence, it is a military contractor disguised as a software startup, and its tech is behind much of the headlines bombarding us today. (*Note–the corporation’s name will be revealed soon.)
