Content: An expert panel of press freedom advocates, First Amendment experts, and journalists will discuss attacks and threats to freedom of the press. Topics will include the United States government's involvement and the U.S. State Department's complicity in Israel's targeting of Palestinian journalists; Donald Trump's campaign and the Heritage Foundation's calls in Project 2025 to make it easier to spy on journalists and jail their sources; and the long-term ramifications of the conviction of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange. Panelists will include Nader Ihmoud (Palestine In America), Chip Gibbons (Defending Rights & Dissent), Seth Stern (Freedom of the Press Foundation), Heidi Kitrosser (Northwestern Law), and Kevin Gosztola (TheDissenter.org)
