Wabash, Suite 1, Chicago, IL Much has changed since Karl Marx first published Capital in 1867. However, the exploitative social relations it analyzed persist, intensifying in new ways. How can returning to Marx’s foundational text help us reexamine our present conditions with fresh eyes? Join Chicago DSA’s Political Education Committee for a discussion about Marx, Capital, and the enduring relevance of Marxist political economy with labor historian Gabriel Winant and lawyer and DSA national organizer Ramsin Canon. We welcome anyone interested in diving deeper to join us for a Capital reading group, which will meet every other Monday starting May 18.
