As the Trump administration continues to cut funding for programs that benefit our communities, we must demand that billionaires and rich corporations pay their fair share in Illinois! State lawmakers can lead the way in raising revenue by taxing massive corporations, like Amazon, to address the affordability crisis and expand public services. We’re organizing now because we don't want legislators setting the terms of the debate around cuts, we want them answering to us. Join ONE Northside and JCUA in Lakeview on Wednesday, May 20 for a lively action ahead of the 2026 legislative session!

We will meet at the North Side of the Belmont Red/Brown Line stop (944 W Belmont) before we head on a short march. We will be asking members of the public to support our communities through direct donations to mutual aid while our legislators have yet to promise to support our communities.
