We got a spot at Artists of the Wall, and we’re going to have a cookout while we paint again! We always have a great time with y’all. If you aren’t familiar, this is the festival when the long seawall along the path in Loyola Park is repainted by community members each year. The theme for this year’s murals is “We Are All Neighbors,” and while we are positively bursting with dreams for our neighborhood and world, we want to hear yours too. Come hang out, share some food, learn about abolition, and help bring our community dreams to life!

We’ll have both meat and veggie options on the grill, and lots of picnic sides. We won’t know the exact location for our mural until the morning of 6/20, so look for specifics on our story that morning. It will be a great place to meet new neighbors and build community.

Conseguimos un lugar en Artists of the Wall, y vamos a hacer una comida al aire libre mientras hacemos arte! Siempre la pasamos bien con ustedes. Si no estás familiarizado, este es el festival en el que los miembros de la comunidad vuelven a pintar las bancas en el la parque de la Loyola cada año. El tema de nuestro mural de este año es “Todos Somos Vecinos,” y aunque estamos llenos de sueños para nuestro vecindario y el mundo, también te queremos escuchar. Ven a pasar tiempo con nosotros, comparte algo de comida, aprende sobre la abolición y ayuda a dar vida a los sueños de nuestra comunidad!

Tendremos opciones de carne y vegetarianos a la parrilla, y muchos aperitivos para el picnic. No sabremos la ubicación exacta de nuestro mural hasta la mañana del 20 de junio, así que busca detalles en nuestro Instagram esa mañana. Será un gran lugar para conocer a nuevos vecinos y construir una comunidad.
