Content: Celebrate Juneteenth in historic Washington Park with Chicago BIPOC Birders! In community with our collective, Devin Austin and Jess Saffold will guide us in finding connections between Black freedom on Native land & our local flora and fauna. There are so many ways to spend Juneteenth weekend; for this event, we invite BIPOC folks and their families to slow down, find stillness, and observe our South Side ecosystem, to see what lessons it has to offer us. We ask attendees to bring a spirit of openness and willingness to learn from each other.
