Hoffman Estates Police Department has been documented and observed by community members —allowing ICE on their property for the last year —violating the ILLINOIS TRUST ACT on multiple occasions. When community members have objected and informed the PD of ICE present in their parking lots staging before unlawfully taking somone , taking naps in their parking lots—sergeants, lieutenants, and Chief of Police turn the other way and shrug their responsibility to protect and serve their own community’s residents!

Last year COP Kasia Cawley was documented walking out of their offices with ICE agents along with State Rep Fred Crespo, while there were around 10 ICE vehicles in their parking lot—with several ICE agents with guns and masks on, as they held 3 U.S citizens in their vehicles—while ICE agents recorded and intimidated community members with a stand off for almost 3 1/2 hrs. When COP Kasia Cawley was reminded about the ILLINOIS TRUST ACT—she told the community that the ILINOIS State police was on their way to enforce the law, they never came. When asked about the 3 U.S citizens who were being held—including a minor, she pretended and denied she knew they were in their vehicles.

No more collaboration with ICE! Instead of restricting the residents of Hoffman Estates TAXPAYERS from public parking lots, trespassing their own residents—they should be enforcing the ILLINOIS TRUST ACT—laws already put in place for this very moment!
