Content: On July 16th 6:30 pm join us at Midwest Books to Prisoners to pack our National Prisoner Newsletter ⚡️ “The Spark” ⚡️ to send inside to jails and prisons across the country for Black August. Black August is an annual observance honoring Black political prisoners, freedom fighters and radical resistance against the system. It began at San Quentin State Prison to commemorate the life of incarcerated revolutionary, George Jackson who was murdered by guards at the prison on August 21, 1971.
