On Thursday, September 17, 2026 from 6:00–7:15 PM via Zoom, Prairie Rivers Network's Andrew Rehn will join with members of The Climate Reality Project's Chicago Metro Chapter to discuss data centers and the POWER Act. Like many states, Illinois is grappling with a data center boom that is profoundly affecting communities. Andrew will explain what is happening with data centers, what impacts they are having on communities and our region, and offer solutions including the POWER Act, Illinois's proposed legislation to protect our energy, environment, and community members from data centers.
