Something big is growing in Pilsen, and we want you to be part of it. 🌽

Three years ago, the Pilsen Latina Legacies Project was born out of a simple but powerful idea: that the women who built this neighborhood deserve to be remembered. That vision is now becoming something real.

On September 17th, we're hosting a community gathering to (re)introduce the Pilsen Latina Legacies project and the "Zoctli Pavilion", a living monument being built at El Paseo Community Garden to honor the Latinas and LGBTQ activists, artists, mothers, sisters, and community members who have made and continue to make Pilsen what it is.

This gathering is the first step in activating the space in which the monument will be built at, with continued activations at El Paseo Community Garden leading up to the annual Harvest Fest, a season of community, story, and celebration rooted right here in Pilsen.

Come meet lead artist Diana Solis, learn where the project is headed, and share your story. We're still collecting the voices and memories of community members to be woven into this monument β€” your story belongs here.

Oh, and there will be food and drinks. Come hungry, come ready to connect.
