Join Science for the People Chicago for a picnic in Grant Park on September 26th. We’ll be hanging out and catching up, but also discussing the actively strengthening super El Niño. Reporting on the climate oscillation is often very confusing and misses the material implications. How will it drive weather patterns here? How will it impact supply chains? How does it interplay with the climate crisis? If you know a lot, come share some insight and if you know very little, come learn! And if you dabble in radical science, come to speak about the inseparability of intensifications of climate phenomena and capitalist exploitation. If you are ambivalent to learning more, come for the social anyway (you’ll probably still learn something, though).
