Content: Join City Bureau and Chicago Documenter/Civic Reporting Fellow, Sol Sanchez, for a fun evening focused on all things zines! ✂️📚 We’ll share the history and origins of zines, discuss their importance as a radical information sharing tool in this cultural and political context, and end with a tutorial with hands-on time to make our own zines! Participants are encouraged to bring zines to share and trade at our “Pop-up zine library.” Basic zine-making supplies such as paper, scissors, glue sticks, markers, etc. will be provided but feel free to bring anything special you’d like to add to your zine. 💛 Light snacks, refreshments, and good vibes will be provided.
