Come celebrate Grace Krilanovich and Brenda Iijima’s new novels published by Two Dollar Radio. Grace’s novel, ACID GREEN VELVET is a wildly anticipated follow-up to her THE ORANGE EATS CREEPS. ACID GREEN VELVET involves two tramps on an unsung beach in 19th century California doing various and sundry things under the radar. The book is a critique of Manifest Destiny and American identity. Brenda’s novel, SHELTER IS NECESSARY FOR EXISTENCE focuses in on a nuclear family ascending the economic ladder while ignoring every signal that something is going horribly wrong. The book charts a reckoning in the making along class and racial lines.

Grace Krilanovich is the author of the novels Acid Green Velvet (2026) and The Orange Eats Creeps (2010), both published by Two Dollar Radio. Her work has appeared in Black Clock, The Rumpus, The Comics Journal, Los Angeles Review of Books, and elsewhere. She was a National Book Foundation “5 Under 35” honoree in 2010. She lives in Los Angeles.

Brenda Iijima is the author of Shelter Is Necessary for Existence (2026, Two Dollar Radio) and Presence (2024, University of Georgia). She is also a poet and visual artist. She lives in Brooklyn, where she runs Portable Press @ Yo-Yo Labs.
