Content: ❌ At the start of the school year, the Blue Island School Board voted to outsource all custodial positions. Effectively laying off 31 of 37 unionized custodial staff. Teachers have reported worsening school conditions with rodents, dead animals, and unsanitary bathrooms present. The school board is allowing staff, students, and communities to operate in an unsafe and unclean school environment. Not only is it shameful, but Blue Island community members, school staff, and organizers are demanding the board bring our beloved custodians back! 🗣️ Join us to demand the Blue Island School Board reinstate the custodians jobs!
