Join us on November 14th, from 6-9pm, at the @chicagomaritimemuseum for the Modes of Transit Quilt Raffle and Exhibition! 🚃✈️🚗🛫🛬🚲🏳️‍⚧️
This one-night event is a fundraiser for @chicommunityjailsupport and @wallsturnedsideways , and a celebration of a queer community hand-quilting project that has stretched through the last six months. **Masks required**

Get a few holiday gifts early at the art market, enter the quilt raffle and catch live performances by Sylvia Ivy String Ensemble and Chaepter on the cello at 8!
✨✨✨🛸🪐🔭✨✨

Using T. Fleischmann’s essay, “Time Is The Thing A Body Moves Through,” as an anchor to group dialogue and short lectures from Mira Simonton-Chao, Emrys Brandt and Samhita Sonti, this group designed and assembled a story quilt that imagines a roadmap to/of/within a queer utopia.

Huge thank you to Bailey for co-facilitating our group conversations, @clean.air.club for air quality control 🌬️and, of course, Walls Turned Sideways for being a most welcoming home 💒💌
