Tenants United is a long running tenants' union that operates on the South Side. We're looking for more people to get into organizing, so we put together Landlord Combat. Landlord Combat is a day-long workshop for people who want to get into organizing or who would like a refresher on some of the fine points. You'll come out of it with a better sense of who we are and the work we do, as well as a grasp on the skills an organizer would need to organize their building. We'll cover how to organize and do direct action, the legal rights available to tenants, and we'll have a tabletop roleplaying activity at the end, led by one of our organizers. It will be held at the Unity Center on November 7th at 10am, if you're interested. Families are welcome, and snacks will be provided!
