Trump has to pledged to make Chicago will be ground zero for mass deportations, and now Alderpeople Lopez and Tabares have introduced an ordinance, 2023-0004222, that will further President Trump’s agenda by permitting the Chicago Police Department to engage in immigration enforcement.

We must fight this reactionary attack, which would harm all Chicagoans by diverting public safety resources and exposing the City to significant legal liability, wasting taxpayer dollars.
