Join Freedom Road Socialist Organization - Chicago for a documentary screening and panel discussion on Sunday March 9th to celebrate International Women’s Day!

We'll be viewing "Si Se Puede, the Story of the Watsonville Cannery Strike," about the historic fight of union women, mostly Chicana and Latina, who led the historic, 18-month-long strike in 1985 in Watsonville, California.

Afterwards, we will hear from a panel of leaders active in the labor, immigrants rights, and Black liberation movements. Organizers will speak on their reflections on the film, the movements they’re a part of, and how people can join an organization to get involved in the fights ahead.
