Please join Chicago Irish for Palestine and the Seraj Library Project next Wednesday, May 7th, from 7-8:30PM, at the Oak Park Public Library, for a very special and FREE education and cultural program: “Growing Up in Palestine”! Learn what it is like to grow up in the West Bank from pictures, stories, and Chicago attorney Rima Kapitan, whose family has deep roots in Palestine.

The Seraj Library Project was founded in 2005 by Laurie and Estephan Salameh, with the mission of working alongside Palestinian communities to establish libraries as safe, beautiful and vibrant community centers, building towards the ultimate vision of every Palestinian child and family having access to a community library. Seraj Library Project is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization with the aim of assisting in the education of Palestinian villagers of ages and faiths through the development of high quality and accessible library programs.
