Content: ALL OUT TO CITY HALL on Wednesday July 16th at 9:00am to demand that all alders stand by Mayor Brandon Johnsons veto of the snap curfew ordinance. Alders will vote on whether to override Mayor Brandon Johnson's veto of the "Snap Curfew" ordinance (8-16-021). Our teenagers need less contact with law enforcement, not more! As a movement that has been fighting against police crimes, repression and torture for decades, we know that curfews only put Chicago youth and community at risk, resulting in more police crimes. We saw in 2020 during the George Floyd uprisings the reactionary Mayor at the time, Lori Lightfoot implement a curfew. People were not properly informed in time and this repression resulted in police brutality and misconduct across the city. Our youth deserve less contact with police, not more! Curfews are a tool of repression and Chicago will not stand for it. #chicago #chicagoland #chicagogram #cityhall #stoppolicecrimes #endpolicebrutality #blacklivesmatter #brownlivesmatter #solidarity #unity #blackbrownunity
