Content: In response to the growing fear and uncertainty facing immigrant communities, faith leaders and concerned residents from across Chicagoland will gather for a peaceful demonstration to demand mercy, compassion, and respect for immigrant families. The event, organized by a coalition of faith-based and community organizations, will include a prayer vigil, moments of reflection, and a unified call to action for humane and just immigration policies. 653 / 5,000 Father Charles Dahm, Ph.D., O.P. Director of Domestic Violence Outreach for the Archdiocese of Chicago. He served as pastor of St. Pius V Parish, a large Hispanic immigrant parish in Chicago, for 21 years. He also co-founded The Resurrection Project, The Chicago Workers Collaborative, and Parenting for Non-Violence. He has preached on domestic violence at every weekend Mass in over 175 parishes in the Archdiocese of Chicago.
All community members are invited to participate. Attendees are encouraged to wear white as a symbol of hope and solidarity. One Nation Under God.
