Content: Join local Jewish organizations for collective grief and action for immigration justice this Tisha b'Av. Tisha b'Av commemorates the destruction of the two Temples and many other tragedies of Jewish history; its resonance is rooted in the holiday's communal expression of grief and despair. We will mark this day of mourning with a Jewish-led interfaith space to grieve the violence of displacement, detention, and deportation of beloved community members. In this moment of terror for immigrants and other marginalized people, we will draw on our tradition's rituals to recommit to the struggle for communities built on care and solidarity instead of fear and hatred.
