Content: Commemoration of Assata Shakur’s Life & Legacy
Assata Olugbala Shakur, a revolutionary socialist, Pan-Africanist, and anti-imperialist freedom fighter, dedicated her life to the struggle against U.S. imperialism, white supremacy, and capitalist exploitation. Her passing at 78 reminds us of the unbroken chain of resistance stretching from the Black Panther Party to today’s movements for liberation. Join us as we honor her life and legacy with a program of guest speakers, revolutionary reflections, and an open mic for the community. Please bring flowers, and food for a potluck. Together, we will lift up her words, her struggle, and the example she set for all those committed to freedom.
