Content: At Saturday’s No Kings protest, Mayor Brandon Johnson called for a a general strike. Throughout the massive crowd of 300,000, many carried signs and banners saying that we need a general strike. As more and more people are fighting back against the attempt by the ultra-right to criminalize dissent and roll back our rights, militant and powerful tactics like a general strike are entering the conversation. But, what is a general strike? How can it be the answer to beating back the agenda of Trump and the billionaires? And what would it take to have one today? Join us on for an educational forum on the history and possible future of a general strike!
