CPD and ICE: A special meeting for our city. Show up, ask questions and make your voice heard!

Thanks to over 2,000 community signatures, the CCPSA has scheduled the hearing for January 8 at 6:30 p.m. at Thalia Hall  a public hearing on CPD’s interactions with ICE and CBP has been officially triggered. This is a critical moment for transparency, accountability, and community safety in Chicago.

While this hearing was made possible by community organizing, the Commission has not meaningfully engaged the District Councils or community members who triggered it—making community turnout more important than ever.

This hearing only matters if the community shows up. If you care about public safety, immigrant dignity, and how policing impacts our neighborhoods, your presence is urgent and necessary.
