We’ve been waiting to organize a screening here for a long while and are so happy the stars aligned to have a screening presented by @jvpchicago and @jewishmuseumchicago with many others supporting including @lizzapold at Arts Administration & Policy at SAIC @saic.maaap and the Performance Studies department at Northwestern University @nu_perfst.

A panel discussion will follow with film lead subject @primaahuvian and @shaynamei who wrote the book “Fraught Balance: The Embodied Politics of Dabke Dance Music in Syria” and @sarahmarksmininsohn who researches performances of anti-fascist memorialization in Italy and Jewish cultural memory. A panel conversation not to be missed!
