Content: Twenty years ago, on March 10, 2006, thousands took to the streets of Chicago to defend our dignity and demand justice. Now, two decades later, we return to that same space to reflect with clarity and commitment: The Consejo de Resistencia invites you to a community conversation: Tuesday, March 10, 2026 We return to the place that 20 years ago was the logistical heart of the mobilization, to reaffirm that dignity must be defended, rights must be won, and justice for our immigrant community remains an ongoing struggle. The struggle continues.
At that time, Casa Michoacán served as our operations and logistics center — a space of coordination, strategy, and collective hope during a historic mobilization.
Where are we now? What have we achieved? What challenges remain? Why must we continue organizing?
