Content: Join us on Thursday for a screening and discussion of the Emmy-award-winning 2007 documentary, ‘Made in L.A.’ This film covers the inspiring story of three Latina women fighting for basic protections in the working conditions at a sweatshop where they work producing garmets for the giant retailer, Forever 21. Following the women’s fight over three years, the film highlights the impact the struggle has on their lives and the importance of unity. After the movie, we will discuss the film and how it demonstrates the need for unity in the face of attacks on immigrants and the working class then and today!
