Content: Hananiah Dukes is a survivor of wrongful conviction pursuing post-conviction proceedings to win his freedom. Dukes is currently serving a 70-year sentence for a crime he did not commit. His conviction was based on a supposed oral statement that Dukes never gave, and disregarded exculpatory evidence that was buried by CPD in the notorious “Basement Street Files” uncovered by Chicago lawyer Candace Gorman.
